The café culture in South Korea shows the integration of Korean and Western culture under the combination of political, economic, social, cultural and global influences, and also Korean consumption patterns to fulfill the needs of social activities and consuming experience of Korean customers. I argue that there are five aspects in the café culture in terms of economic reform in Korea, effect of globalization, influence of Starbucks, collectivistic culture of Korean society, and exposure of café images in mass media.
